Car-pedestrian fatality reported at Cypress Street near State Route 1 in Fort Bragg Thursday 8-9 Pm
A woman was killed after 8 p.m Thursday night by a truck at Cypress Street and State Route 1. We were on lunch break going to Safeway from the hospital at 9:30 pM, and Cypress was blocked at Franklin by Fort Bragg Police. We found out someone had been killed, but we will wait for more info to write more. This was not a hit and run. There was a large truck inside the police lines, we don;t know if that was a witness or what. From what we saw, the crash happened right in front of Taco Bell. We will be adding facts to this story on Friday, we wont be putting out a new story. Check back about noon. We like to do some warnings and get more than the basics when a person has lost their life. We don’t report scanner chatter, so this is all we have for you at the moment. A woman was also hit June 30 at Chestnut Street between Highway 1 and South Franklin. That person has since recovered.
