It is the end of the world as we know it, but I feel whine

KOZT is playing Blowing in the Wind by Bob Dylan.  It was one of the first popular songs I remember after my initial fascination with Roger Miller. “How many ears must one man have before he can hear people cry?  The answer my friend is blowing in the wind.”  I truly believed that something was blowing in the wind and that the generation of my older siblings would change the world.  Hippies were wise men of our times, like the prophets of old (gosh I sure was naive but I was a kid) Reporters could help by working on explaining the system and ferreting out the evils in the corporate and lobbyist bedrooms (as well as board rooms) and the county courthouse. I felt thrilled by the future, that I could live and enjoy life and enjoy riding the wave of Merle Haggard’s rainbows stew into the future (Merle, a staunch conservative, believed in singing for all his fans so he sang that and other protest songs along with some of the most famous conservative anthems ever sung…Fightin side of Me, and Okie from Muskogee).  I thought the horrific politics of Tricky Dick Nixon, along with LB Johnson’s Vietnam war Nixon lied about ending would be forever in the past.  No more of this crap! We see you and your corporate warmongers! Reporters will expose you!  The wind would blow and the horrors I had read about in Upton Sinclair, Ida Tarbell, Charles Dickens and a Tree Grows in Brooklyn would be learned from and something blowing in the wind would save us all from repeating those times in days of increasingly dangerous technology. I remember talking with conservative kids in school and after HS  about how the Army would be a great gig as there would never be another war. We all thought that in 1982. But what was blowing in the wind turned out to be Reaganomics/feudalism, worship of the rich, and later the return of immigrant hate to blame the victims of globalism for the sins of globalism.

After my intellectual but immature and dopey self nerded his way through the first 9 grades, I had a massive overdose of testosterone and growth hormone. I went from 5’8” and 140 pounds in the 9th grade to 6’2” and 210 pounds in tenth and 6’6” and 266 pounds of muscle as a high school senior, although I still looked and acted the clown. I became entranced with junk cars and anything in a skirt and forgot about reading for a decade. When I recovered, college was over and I was working as a reporter.. I was excited to be a journalist after reading the stories about Watergate.  I found a few as many of us did and they were celebrated by everyone in the days of newspapers!  People who know me all my life know most of my work ended up implicating environmental groups like the Nature Conservancy, collaborating with the likes of Reagan and Clinton. After that, I was the first to have the Jeff Epstein story when I embarked on an investigation of Leslie Wexner . I found a horrific Israeli-Russian flow of money into the GOP and documented it back to the 1950s. I never imagined the death of journalism, America electing an autocrat, the Supreme Court creating new law that said corporations are people out of NOTHING in Citizens United and changing the world more than anything, even the other part of it which made unlimited bribes to politicians free speech. While our economy boomed, people became angrier and angrier at immigrants at nonexistent groups like Antifa.  Goebbels and Bernays would be glad to know the pandora’s box they opened created the most deadly stream of hellfire in human history from Rupert Murdoch, consuming souls and minds in a way that would make the biblical Satan blush.  Through it all I have been the fat man in the middle seat, watching and reporting in my sometimes screwy ways. I suffered bouts of anxiety and depression that sent me literally. out of my mind, before cognitive therapy helped me, some medicines helped led me back to my senses and to a world more insensible than I could have imagined in 1979, which I wrote was the best year America would ever have.  When did I say this?  1979.. While we blame Reagan, the whole country and the whole world turned darker after 1979 and the Iranian revolution and at the same time American Evangelicals discarded their mantra “in the world but not of the world” (from the Bible) for greed and hate induced ideas of running the world and getting rich from it, but not in heavenly treasures. They plunged into running the government and being of the world, of the world, in the world in the worst ways, making hateful laws, blaming, judging and worshipping the rich. At the same time, thousands of miles away the Muslims and Jews also moved the same way, discarding their sacred for force, hate, genocide and money.  For some reason, the Lord loved me outlandishly from the time I read the entire Bible in second grade. I have no idea why the Lord would give a genuine goofus like me the gift of vision and the ability to see so much, if not explain it at first especially My grandma, Bessie Ernst, gave me a living bible in Second. grade so it was a bit of cheating to avoid the thees and thous, but the word took me to a born-again salvation experience. At first, I tried to follow the happy Jesus Movie (watch it) version of born-again Christianity’s origins. We used to be nice people who tried to turn the other cheek and love, not hate the ones Jesus hung with! I wouldn’t have joined a movement dedicated to hating people who are poor and different, so maybe I would never have met the Lord. I don’t think my way is the only way. I have seen so much real faith and goodness in atheists and Sikhs and Muslims and Jews, all of them truly have some but not many, the same as Christianity.

My sister sent me good books on a regular basis and I read them all and never thanked her. Brother Jerome got me to read Voltaire (which was infinitely more difficult for a child to understand than the bible, along with Dumas (Count was one of my favorite books but I hated Three Musketeers) and Montaigne which was too dense for me but somehow these things crawled out of my mind in years to come.

I am still thrilled the Born Again movement found me, but I would NOT look for it now. It has become an effort to capture God and force her to be the macho man the Evangelicals could never make Jesus be. Back then, the Gospel was Good News, not hatred for immigrants and worship of money and the god of money, the most vile human to rule since Caligula.   But as the 80s rolled on I became a reporter and learned how vile and STUPID corporate America was. Every newspaper chain was ruled by a fool heir and nobody competent had a way in, although Steve Brill tried. Everything has been a forced march to the right since Reagan.  Kamala Harris’s law and order and obedience speech would have gotten Richard Nixon tarred and feathered and sent to Canada by both left and right of his day. And Trump is radically millions of miles to the right. HIs supporters cheer night clubbing of the innocent who have not been proven guilty and cheer the execution of a man found guilty by a prosecution, shaken baby, proven false. In Texas, a man executes another man in public. A Texas jury finds him guilty of first-degree muder and throws the book at him. But because he had driven his car at liberal protesters before executing the other man, Gov Abbott pardons him, he who won’t pardon the innocent so that fear of somebody he calls “god” can be put in the hearts of all criminals. Murder a liberal and go free. That’s our world now. Something is blowing in the wind, it’s called fascism. We just openly chose a fascist authoritarian to end our Democracy and try people like Liz Cheney for disagreeing with him. The only other president who did this and maybe the second worst president ever was liberal democrat college president Woodrow Wilson. He also tried dissenters for treason.  So I say all this for one reason – I have usually been right and was too chicken to make that stock pick on Apple when I came up with that and talked to Josh at Edward Jones who spent several hours with me going through my top 5 picks and we liked apple but I didn’t go there. I would have been a millionaire. I’m saying this after 100 things like that in my life. Trump will blow up the world if he pushes the Palestinians over the edge as he is saying he will do. The answer to the Middle East is not for Trump to give Bibi the nod for all genocide. That’s the recipe for World War and atomic bombs exploding. I’m all for invading Greenland if it takes trump off this fatal course for all humanity.  Not really. That is the idea of a man with dementia. Which is what makes this time the most dangerous in history. The two who have made this possible are Trump and the American Left.  When Trump and Netanyahu stood together and said the two-state solution was over forever, I posted on Facebook that this was the beginning of WWIII. 

The two state solution was pushed by all presidents and world leaders including those in Israel until Bibi Netanyahu came along. Its the idea that Israel must make a homeland for the palestinian people. The United Nations and others pre-recognized Palestine as a nation. But, in one day, Trump and Bibi flushed it down the toilet. F#*k No. Kill them all!

The American left said FKKKKKING nothing. Not a peep. Not a word.  That’s because they are largely financed by Israeli money, although most don’t know it. That was the day 100,000 Arabs who had wanted peace were radicalized, enough of them to the extreme to make the October attack possible, which is what Bibi wanted. After the two state solution was discounted by two of the world’s most powerful men, reasonable Arabs lost hope. Netanyahu is a severe PTSD sufferer who gave up his dream to be an architect and help redesign NYC after getting his education at MIT.  His brother was killed by Idi Amin’s men at Entebbe and he came home to kill Muslims. And he did. He is no cowardly Trump. He did cross-border raids as a terrorist and became famous for his Manchurian Candidate fearlessness and now he is ending the world.  What’s worse is there are many, many much more radical than him in Israel. At one time he seemed like the voice of reason, but then he got convicted by the military there of all kinds of corruption, like worse than Boss Tweed stuff. And so he also has the motive of staying out of prison along with co-felon Trump who needed to be reelected for the same reason.

The insanity of the American left is much harder to explain. There is a current effort to sue Jared Huffman and the Dems for funding Israel. The college protests, which refused to ever blame the GOP or Trump for anything, were a dream come true for Netanyahu, who also was not really blamed. It was mostly Biden! Who made demands on Netanyahu.  If the Dems and the left had made defeating Citizens United a priority they could have stopped this. If they had confronted the Epstein money pipeline rather than the sex pipeline. If Congress and intellectuals had read the Panama papers, we could have saved the world. No left all fight over whether Taylor Swifts’ favorite football player is offensive because of his girlfriends’ politics!  If I had written a book saying the reality of 2025 in 1979 it would have been far too ridiculous and absurd to even contemplate. Fox News and its companions are what made this all possible.  So I would say, ignore Trump and just get your congressman and such to stop him from giving Bibi the blank check. Forget the grandchildren. It’s your life this time. You’re going to have to save yourself so there will be something left to save them.

Even if we do, the dream of our founders is gone. We will continue marching to the right till we go over the edge. Our founders in two words were balance and compromise. The modern GOP thinks both of those are sins and the majority of Americans do too. Why would we go on celebrating great compromisers like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and MLK?  This is gone.

Shadows: LInda and I see the world a little differently but we have proof here we are not vampires.

Teens: Kids looks the same as they always did and we were to me, but teen girl suicide and all teen suicide attempts are way up. There is so much uncertainty now, not just in politics.. Local economies have all been destroyed by chains and globalism. Big companies suddenly vanish jobs to China. Everything from gender to family to politics comes with a level of Fox News driven fear and scapegoating  that didn’t exist in my time, or during my parents’ time, when there was something to fear- The Nazis. Now the Nazis are back and are probably happier in the USA than any other political constituency.

Kid: Despite my tirade, I bet this kid from this view feels as safe and hopeful as my parents made me feel at her age. But is she? I hope Im wrong and things will be fine.

State Capitol; Unlike some atheist friends, who have been understandably offended by the horrible behavior of millions of my fellow Jesus lovers, I believe that we need church in society, but back behind the Capitol like this photo shows. The Churches have now taken over the government and done everything but put a cross on top. This never ends well.
