Letter to the Editor- Trump’s offshore oil drilling hearing is Monday! There is still time to sign up to watch and more time to comment

Dear Editor,
I want to thank you for working with me to put together the article on the opportunities to comment on the Trump Administration’s “performance” review for the California Coastal Plan, which is actually a new offshore oil drilling plan. And Northern California is included!. We published news about the Monday, Aug. 10 public hearing in Southern California. I am amazed so few people know about the hearing and how to comment. As the article says, Trump’s NOAA skipped the normal public hearings for the formation of the plan and now is holding hasty hearings like two this week. It was also amazing how we uncovered all of this was all likely done because Elon Musk was frustrated with his private partial takeover of the federal space base at Vandenberg! See my letter and the story for more of what we found out.
Wake up folks! All of this is grist for comments, Trump has not used the legal process properly and is working behind the scenes for the world’s first trillionaire! (Now he is poor again, back to $900 billion!)
The editor likes to present everything happening in one piece, but this may have caused readers to miss the shocking parts of the Trump “performance review” for California. Read the article here with all the info:
The NOAA review of California’s coastal isn’t just about paying back the fossil fuel corporations and their desire to drill, explore and build new pipelines for oil on the California coast for their contributions. It was a form of payback to the millions of dollars supporting his and MAGA elections in the 2024 elections by fossil fuel corporations. The industry spent lavishly to elect Trump, giving at least $75 million.
They gave an additional $2 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign, bringing the total spending on the winning candidates to over $75 million, 88% of these funds went to Republicans.
It’s also a favor to Elon Musk who spent nearly $300 million in the 2024 elections and got Trump and many MAGA Republicans elected. Musk is planning on flooding the midterm elections with $100 million.
President Trump’s Secretary of Commerce appointee, Howard Lutnick, said in a letter “California has repeatedly and unfoundingly obstructed spaceport development in bad faith.” Musk’s SpaceX corporation plans to launch rockets from California. These two guys are close. Musk has posted many photos of him with Lutnick on Twitter.\

Musk’s company SpaceX (https://www.spacex.com) went public in June. This made Musk, already the richest man on Earth, the world’s first trillionaire. Later the SpaceX reported a loss of more than $500 million in its first quarterly earnings report since taking its stock public in June. It was saved when SpaceX landed a $1.6 billion government contract to launch 18 rockets from Vandenberg Airforce base. That contract gave a big part of the public base to a private company and Elon’s frustration with the state is what precipitated the entire offshore oil drilling push, which would feature drilling off Mendocino County in 2029, the last of three places to be hit.
