Dump truck flips at Frog Pond Road, causing traffic delays on first day of school

A dump truck went off the road near Frog Pond Road in Albion at 5 a.m Thursday and tipped onto its side. There were no injuries reported in the crash but resulted in closures of State Route 1, with controlled traffic still going on at 8:30 a.m. as All in One towing worked to remove the vehicle. The driver was screaming inside the vehicle when the crash first happened and the truck was on its side for about 5 minutes, but the man escaped the truck a few minutes later.

This came on the first day of school in Mendocino, which has busses that come through that area. No word on whether busses were delayed getting to school.

The information we have comes from the CHP log:  It is presented below and we will update.
