Dogs, people escape plane that crashes on Main Street downtown Ukiah

A small airplane from the Ukiah Airport crashed in downtown Ukiah this morning about 10:34 a.m RIGHT ON MAIN STREET Near Smith. The people and dogs on board were OK according to the scanner, and NOW we have CHP info..

🚨 Traffic Alert / Community Notice 🚨

CHP and UPD is on scene of a small aircraft crash at North Main St and East Smith Street, in Ukiah. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries.

The crash has resulted in downed power lines and power outages in the surrounding area. PG&E crews are on scene working alongside law enforcement to safely restore power and secure the area.

🚧 Please avoid the area to allow emergency personnel and utility crews to work safely and efficiently. Use alternate routes if possible.

We heard about this crash right after it happened and now its all over social media. Redheaded Blackbelt has a story with a photo by Sarah Reith.
