Fireworks and parades: Independence Day around Mendocino County

MENDOCINO CO., 7/9/19 — It seemed like everyone in Mendocino was at a parade, watching the fireworks, or enjoying themselves with friends and family over the holiday weekend, and from rodeos to train rides, there was so much going on it was easy to miss something. We put together some photos and videos from the Willits Main Street parade and the Mendocino parade for you, plus a great fireworks video shared by the City of Point Arena. Enjoy!

Part of the Mendocino parade included a group commemorating the native women who have gone missing or been murdered in Mendocino County around the country, including family members of Khadijah Britton, still missing from Covelo. Michelle Merrifield shared these photos of the group (read more here), some are also by Hartzell:
